a. Note:   Obit - The death of Mr. JAMES E. BUTLER occurred at his home, 98 Pleasant Street, St. John's on April 16th, 1937 after a brief illness. The deceased was the youngest son of the late Constable John T. Butler and Ziporah (Snow) Butler and was born at Old Perlican 46 years ago. At the time of his death, Mr. Butler was employed with the Newfoundland Airport at Cobb's Camp as timekeeper, and only arrived in St. John's a few days ago on a brief visit when he was taken ill. Left to mourn their loss are his wife (nee Eleanor Dowden), seven daughters and one son, two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Green, Troy, N.Y., and Mrs. John Brown, Newtonville, Mass., also four brothers, Rev. W.R., U.C. Minister, Old Perlican; Capt. Abner, St. John's; Frederick, Roxbury, Mass.; Jesse, Malden, Mass., U.S.A. The funeral took place Sunday to the General Protestant Cemetery.
