Parmelee, a life-long resident of Bristol, died at the famiy farm west of the village on Saturday evening. She was born March 10, 1875, daughter of the late Dorcus (sic) and Miranda BATES PARMALEE (sic). Educated at Bristol high school and Castleton Normal school, she later taught in both institutions, first in Castleton, where she was selected to have charge of the training school work, and later in the grammar school at Bristol. After teaching for about five years she retired from her early profession and the rest of her life was spent at home. Miss Parmelee joined the Baptist church in Bristol in 1890 and was an active member of its Treasure Seekers for many years. She was also a charter member of the Outlook club of Bristol. She is survived in her immediate family by two brothers, Clayton H., of Roslindale, Mass., and Durward B. of Bristol: by a niece, Gertie L. PARMELEE, and a nephew, Merritt P. ALLEN, both of Bristol. Funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 daylight saving time." [Note: added in pencil, " Sept 6, 1941". ************ Rosina PARMELEE Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon for Miss Rosina Parmelee at her late home west of Britsol (sic) village. Rev. Hugh Q. MORTON officiated with interment in Greenwood cemetery. The bearers were Dr. R. J. BRISTOL, A. M. RUSSELL, Allen GRANT, Glenn JACKMAN, Chas. LAMB and Wilfred BROWN. Miss PARMELEE died at the family farm Saturday evening after several month's illness. She was born at Bristol March 10, 1875 a daughter of the late Dorcus and Miranda BATES PARMELEE.
