Elva Pearl Allison was her maiden name before she married John Thomas Hill, At least that's what I think. However, her mother Sarah Elisabeth (Sally) was married to Elva Pearl's father ( First name unknown, last name Allison) and then to Col. Thomas Berry Rankin. That couple are buried in Friendship Cem. west of Marquez. Al and I are planning to go there one day this week to that cem. to look for their graves, and to courthouse in Centerville to look for their death certificates. I'll let you know what I find. I have to make copies of some other stuff tomorrow; so I'll make a copy of Linie's death cert. and send it to you. I don't have time right now to learn to use the scanner, but thanks for the instructions. I don't even know what or where the paper port is? Gotta go, Sue
