He was born and reared at Franklin, graduated from Franklin High School, and attended Baylor University. Survivors include his widow of Quitman, one son Bobby Lomax of Franklin; 3 brothers, Hill Lomax of Franklin, Houston Lomax of New Boston, and Major Brenton Lomax of the US Air Force, Colorado Springs, CO.; and one sister, Miss Lucy Lomax of Jefferson City, MO.
