  Lake Charles American Press, pg. 2, 7/27/1961 Sulphur---Funeral rites for Ralph Edward Parker, 49, of Hackberry were held at 11 a.m. today at the Hixson funeral home chapel in Sulphur. The body was to be taken to the Phelps cemetery in Thicket, TX for graveside services at 3:30 p.m. Mr. Parker died suddenly at 12:45 pm Wednesday at this home of a cerebral hemorrhage. He was a native of Sour Lake, TX and had lived in Hackberry for 25 years. He was employed as a guager for the Burton and Sutton Oil Co., and was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors are his wife Mrs. Doris Lofton Parker of Hackberry; one son, Jimmy Lynn Parker of Hackberry; and one brother, C. J. Parker of Sulphur.
