Survived by wife of 55 years, Monty Caplen, Pasadena; son and daughter-in-law Barry and Becky Caplen of Deer Park, sisters and brother-in-law, Louise Sheffield, Houston; Joy and Earl Ashcraft, Anahuac; Ruth Hall, Houston; 3 grandchildren. Family will receive friends 6 pm to 9 pm Wed. at the funeral home. Funeral service 1 pm Thursday, Jan. 18, 1996. Pasadena Funeral Chapel, Rev. Jay Barnes, Asbury United Methodist Church officiating.
