  "Old Northwest Texas", Vol. I-A, Navarro County 1846-1860, Compiled by Nancy T. Samuels & Barbara R. Knox page 406 Jeremiah was a C. P. Minister and helped organize the church at Corsicana 15 May 1853; he, Mary, and two daughters were charter members.
  The Corsicana Commerical Club, later the Corsicana Chamber of Commerce, originated in the Nineties. There were approximately 65 paying members. The dues were $1.00 per month. One of the members was a J. D. Cunningham. (pg. 177)

  Jerry Cunningham lived in North Carolina in Orange County.
  Jerry and Polly Cunningham lived in North Carolina about two years, then moved to Tennessee. Tennessee to Texas in 1846. Stopped in Shelby County and got there Christmas day. Stayed there six weeks then moved to Rusk County, Texas, lived in Rusk Co. near Mr. Enterprise several years. Then moved to Navarro County, near Corsicana where they lived till they both died and was buried in the family graveyard. Polly Cunningham being the second one buried at that place. Caroline the first one.
  Rev. Jeremiah Cunningham and family moved from Tennessee to Texas in wagon and was on the road six weeks, reached Shelby Co., Texas the 25th of December, 1846. They shipped their house hold things to Shrevesport. Got their things the next June.
