Note: From Russell J. Bennett, RusselljBennett@@earthlink.net Grant grandchildren did not like Ann Cunningham but loved Francis Ann Summers, there other grandmother. [Source: Zora Mildred Bennett 2003] The White's had six girls, 1 brother. [Source: Abbie B Grant; 2002] Carrie Shelton, carrie@@cnbcom.net, has information on RootsWeb's World Connect that Ann's middle name was Harrison and that she died Feb. 26, 1905 in Merkel, Texas. 1880 District 126, Navarro Co., Texas, pg. 287B White, Ann 48 TN NC NC Jeremiah 18 TN VA TN Farmer Belzora C 14 TN VA TN Lulu L 12 TN VA TN 1900, 4J-PCT, Delta Co., Texas, ED 37, pg. 128, line 14 White, Ann E wd May 1829 71 6 children 4 living TN NC SC Holmes, Annie L dau D Feb 1856 43 7 children 5 living Texas AL TN Louise A dau July 1887 12 MS MS Texas Olie W son Oct 1889 10 MS MS Texas Charlie C son Feb 1892 8 MS MS Texas White, Bob N son Mar 1860 34 Texas AL TN 1910, 4J-Pct., Delta Co., Texas , ED 45, pg. 249, line 75 White, Ann E 80 wd 6 children 3 living TN NC SC Holmes, Annie L dau 51 wd 7 children 5 living Texas AL TN White, Annie G gdau 9 Texas Texas AL Abilene Daily Reporter, Monday, Feb. 27, 19??, page 5 (The person who sent me this obit said it was dated Feb. 27, 1905. I don't understand how that can be unless there were two Ann E. Whites as Ann E. White is on the 1910 census). Mrs. J. W. Dulaney and daughter Miss Eva went to Merkel Sunday to attend the funeral of Mrs. White, an old resident of this county. She was the step-mother of D. F. White and mother of Louis and Jerry White at Pecos, also step-mother of Judge Dulaney's mother. The family moved to Buffalo Gap in 1879 or 1880. The deceased was about 80 years at the time of her death. I am having trouble with the Annie Holmes who is listed as a daughter in the 1900 census. Her date of birth is 1856, yet she doesn't appear on a census with Joseph or Ann White before 1900. I found an Ann White born abt. 1870 who died in 1880 and buried at the Cunningham Cemetery. I believe she was the daughter of Joseph & Ann Cunningham White. On the 1900 census there is a Bob N. White listed as a son, born 1860 but he is not listed on the 1870 census with the Whites so I don't believe he is a son either.
