a. Note:   From Russell J. Bennett, RusselljBennett@@earthlink.net Belle Zora's was named Causby in honor of the mid-wife who delivered her. She was born 3 miles west of Corsicana, Navarro Co, Texas where the State Orphans Home now stands. The site, once owned by her father, who was a doctor and Irish, was called Cunningham Estate. Between Madison and Abbie, she had twin infants that died. (Source: Joseph W Grant Biography; 1965)
  Zora Mildred Williams was named after her grandmother, Belle Zora, who was present at her birth. Belle Zora always wore black after the death of her husband, John A. Grant (she even dyed her underware, which caused problems with rash.) [Source: Zora Mildred Williams]
  Cleburne, Texas Times-Review, July 15, 1956 Mrs. Zora Belle Grant, 90, former resident of Cleburne, died Friday at Harlingen; and will be buried here at Cleburne cemetery Monday at 10 am Mrs. Grant was the widow of the late John Albert Grant, who preceded her in death in 1941. She is survived by three sons, J. W. Grant, Malta, Montana, J. M. Grant, Harlingen, and Albert C. Grant, Yucaipa, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. J. W. Williams and Mrs. C. F. Margrave of Harlingen, and Mrs. G. E. Roof of Cleburne; 18 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and seven great great-grandchildren. Rev. C. D. Wooten will officiate at graveside services here and Crosier-Pearson Funeral home in its chapel. Pallbearers will be Nick Roof Sr., Glen Roof, Nick Roof Jr., James Hutchison, Ted Walls and Neal Walls.
