  Austin Statesman, May 15, 1962, pg. 6 Mrs. W. E. Parker, 88, of 2918 Salado, died at her residence Monday. She had made her home in Austin for the past 59 years and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Zora Parker Thurman, Mrs. Linnie Schieffer, both of Austin, and Mrs. Nellie Harrison of Killeen; three sons, Ernest Parker, Ben R. Parker, and Harvey L. Parker, all of Austin; two sisters Mrs. Sabrina Baker of Taylor and Mrs. Will Black of Austin; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-granchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home with Pastor Carl Martindale officating. Burial will be in Oakwood. Pallbearers will be Ralph Parker, Morris Parker, Stanley Parker, Jimmie Parker, Ben Parker, Boyce Hall and Dick Thurman, all grandsons of the deceased.
