Note: p> Information from Ray Salmon said that he died from Suicide by gunshot - will have to check how he got that. At the time of James' death he was living at Gulgong N.S.W. and surveying land. His wife had to go and get their eldest son from where he was boarding at Dubbo. Young Robert was about 18 then James was a friend of the Chaffey brothers in Mildura.
Note: General Notes: Died about 1890 in the far west of N.S.W. or Northern Sth. Australia from scurvy and/or dehydration. This is according to Frank EVERETT his grandson in 1993. <
