Note: from Old Delphi paper in Indiana Death of Mrs. Eleanor Whistler Mrs Eleanor Whistler, wife of George Whistler, deceased, died at the home of her son, J. H. B. Whistler, cast of the city last Sunday morning. When the deceased retired Saturday evening she was in her usual health. When her son arose the next morning she was cold in death. The members of the family had no hint that all was not well in the aged lady's room and were greatly shocked when the sad discovery was made. Mrs. Whistler was born in Cumberland county, Pennsylvania, July 30, 1819, and when she was nine years of age moved to Dayton, Ohio. A few years later she moved to Carroll county, and in June 11, 1838, married George Whistler. She was a member of the Presbyterian church for many years, and by a life of self-sacrifice and devotion earned the rest that she now entered upon. She leaves two sons, J. H. B. Whistler and William Whistler. Mrs. James Holmes, of Rockfield, is her sole surviving sister. The funeral was conducted from the Nebo church, Tuesday morning at eleven o'clock, Rev. S. R.
