  James H. Power Succumbs to Heart Disease After Long Illness
  James H. Power, pioneer New Mexico ranchman and former city employee, died at the Hubbard Hospital early today after a long illness with a heart ailment. He was 72 years old.
  Mr. Power, who lived at 1824 NW 14th St. came to Oklahoma City in 1917 from Texas. He was employed by the city until five years ago, when poor health forced him to retire.
  Taught Violin
  Born at Modena, MO, he went to Kansas as a young man, and from there to New Mexico in 1887. He operated a ranch in the latter state for a number of years, but left for Texas in 1913. He operated a truck farm in Texas for four years before coming to Oklahoma.
  A student of the violin from his early manhood, Mr. Power taught students both in Texas and in New Mexico. During the last years of his life he spent much time listening to radio concerts. He was the leader of a band at Maxwell, N.M, for a time.
  Funeral Tomorrow
  Funeral services tentatively have been set for tomorrow afternoon at the Watts & McAtee Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sunny Lane Cemetery.
  Surviving are his wife; six daughters, Miss Jessie Power, Mrs. Ruth Holcomb, Mrs. Ira George, Mrs. W.H. Vance, Mrs. Charles F. Ripley and Mrs. R.C. Maxwell; a brother, Edd Hamilton; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur McClure and Mrs. Frank Wagoner, and two niece, Mrs. E.C. Hyne and Mrs. Ed Clements.
