Note: CARSON POWER Gone To His Reward Died at his home in Mt. Moriah Mo., Feb 4, 1907, at 4 p.m., after an illness of three weeks with lung fever. Mr. Power was born in Hancock County, Indiana, April 2, 1849, and immigrated with his father to Missouri when a child. Mr. Power has lived in and near Mt. Moriah for several years and was highly respected by those who knew him. September 21, 1875 he was married to Susan Hamilton. To this union was born eleven children, one boy and ten girls, all of whom are living, and all being present at the funeral except one. Besides his faithful and loving wife he leaves five grand children, four brothers, and three sisters to mourn his loss. The family and relatives have the heart felt sympathy of the entire community. He bore his sufferings cheerfully and in his dying hour remarked to his family that, "He would soon be at rest." His remains were interred in the Hamilton cemetery Feb 5, at 3 p.m. The services were conducted by Arthur Harper who talked from the chapter Mr. Power chose, St. John XIV, in which Jesus says, "In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so I would have told you, I go to prepare a place for you." We know dear ones your hearts are sad and a place is vacant in your home, once filled by one you cherished and loved, weep not dear ones and meet him in Heaven above.
