  Willis H. Vance, 54, of 1900 NW 34, a training officer with the Veterans Administration, died of a heart ailment in his home Tuesday afternoon. A native of Iowa, Vance came to Oklahoma City shortly after World War 1, in which he served. He was commander of Capitol Hill Post 13 of American Legion in 1933-34 and in 1936 was fifth District commander. He was a Shriner and 32nd degree Mason.
  He started in the oil drilling business here in 1929 and from 1936 to 1944 perform operated the Vance Drilling Co.
  Since 1944 he had been with the VA. In 1940 he was on the Legion national employment committee and in 1944 was field secretary on the national staff.
  He is survived by his wife, Minnie; mother, Mrs. Lora M. Vance, 1427 NW 44, and a brother,Carl, Houston, Texas.
  Services are pending at the Watts Funeral home.
