Donald R. Connell, 72 SALT SPRINGS - Donald Ray Connell, 72, a retired superintendent for Stroh Brewing Co., died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at Sylvia's House in Ocala.
A native of Tampa, he moved here from Winston Salem, N.C., in 1986.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Betty Jean Connell, Salt Springs; son, Phillip Connell, Jacksonville; brother, Arlton Connell, Tampa; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Marion County.

Mr. Connell was born in Tampa and moved to Lake George from Winston-Salem, N.C., in 1986. He also lived part of the year in Suwannee. He was a Mason and enjoyed boating and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Betty Jean Connell of Lake George; a son, Phillip Connell of Jacksonville; a brother, Arlton Connell of Tampa; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
