Born in Plant City, he came here 17 years ago from St. Petersburg and was clerk of works for Citrus Memorial Hospital. He was a member of the Ocala Carpenters Union and a Protestant. Survivors include his wife Marjorie; three stepsons, Robert Taylor, Naples, Fla., James Massey, Tennessee, and Paul Massey, Georgia; a daughter Tammy Wyka, Inverness; five stepdaughters, Ann Spindle, Immokalee, Susi e Hofschneider, Cape Coral, Sandy Wobbe, Naples, Linda Walton, Inverness, and Wanda Smith, Nebraska; 20 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
