Note:   (Research):First on May 10, 1883 at the age of 93, then on June 1, 1885, at age 95, file claims (no. 42853) for widow's pension with respect to the service of Willis Burdett in the War of 1812. Claim was rejected on the ground of no record or other evidence of service. Nancy Boone Burdett was living in Peniel, Roane County, West Virginia in June, 1885 when she filed the second pension application. She died a little more than two months after filing the application.
