  Funeral Notices Brown, Mrs. Bertha E. -- Funeral services for Mrs. Bertha E. Brown, of Plant City, who passed away in a Tampa hospital Friday, will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the chapel of Wells Funeral Home, Plant City. The Rev. Harry G. Devane, pastor of the Southside Baptist Church will officiate. Interment in Oaklawn Cemetery. She is survived by her brother, C. A. Burdette, Mulberry; nieces, Mrs. Weiss, Tarpon Springs; Mrs. Calhoun, Miami, and Mrs. Marie Horton, Lakeland. Source: Tampa Tribune (microfilm), date:1950 11 04, p. 2.
  Mrs. Bertha E. Brown Mrs. Bertha E. Brown, 62, died Friday in a Tampa hospital. Funeral services were held at Wells Funeral Home chapel Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Harry G. DeVane, pastor of the Southside Baptist church officiating. Burial was in Oaklawn cemetery. Pall bearers were Bryant Williams, J. Tadlock, Mr. Dorsey, Albert Smith, Homer Jacoby and Mr. Freeman. She was a native of West Virginia and made her home in Plant City for the past 20 years. She is survived by a brother, C. A. Burdette, Mulberry; nieces, Mrs. Weiss, Tarpon Springs; Mrs. Calhoun, Miami and Mrs. Marie Horton, Lakeland. Source: The Plant City Courier, November 10, 1950.
