Notes
a. Note:   Notes from Wyon Lou Jean Hendrix, It is believed that Isaac and Hannah are buried on the old Spence land. Isaac last appears on the 1870 census and is listed as being 95 years old.
Isaac was married at least twice first to whomever was Tharpe and Siblings mother and second to Hannan Taylor who Isaac married on April 4, 1839 in Thomas county. Isaac's father may have been Insell Spence, instead of James, (Reference Jim Spence papers) Isaac was probably born in NC, due to the fact that his siblings in Emmanuel Co., 1850 Census list their birthplace as NC.
Isaac served in the War of 1812, under Capt. Gamble from March 26, 1814 to Sept. 12, 1814 He enlisted in Burke/Emanuel Co., GA
Whoever Isaac's first wife was she appears in the 1820 census in Emanuel Co. and 1830 census in Thomas Co. with him. She is listed in the 1820 census as being between the ages of 16 and 26 years of age. Her maiden name may have been Wynn.

Note:   (Research):Ochlocknee, Thomas County, Georgia was founded about 1860. It was a small settlement where most of my Thomas County ancestor's resided. Construction of a railway line between Thomasville and Albany was proposed in 1869. Several locations for construction of the depot were considered. Three sites were settled upon and the final site may have been chosen based on petitions obtained by the people of Ochlocknee. Two petitions were circulated and signed, and the following family names can be found in Petition A and Petition C.
Petition A Jeremiah Tilley Isac Spence Mrs. Hanner Spence Mrs. Rinthy Tilley Mrs. Rebecca Spence Mrs. Elizabeth Tilley
Petition C Melvinia Thomas (Melvina Thompson?) Elizabeth Braswell Uriah Braswell John T. Braswell Abel A. Braswell
