Note:   (Research):Charles' parents moved to Little Rock, Arkansas when he was about 6 months old. However, they returned to Waltham or the Boston area some time later and lived there several years while Charles Sr. worked in a shipyard. Charles Jr. returned to Little Rock and lived with his Uncle Louis and Aunt Minnie (Lemaire) during junior high school. He entered the US Marine Corps at age 17 near the end of World War II. Charles completed high school work at Mabelvale High School, Pulaski County, Arkansas, after he was discharged from the Marines. Source: Mary Ann Stanley, June 30, 1998.
