  Tampa Bay Times (FL) - January 18, 2013 Deceased Name: LESTER , Alma Pearl 97, of St. Petersburg, formerly of Tampa and Brooksville, passed away peacefully on Dec. 29, 2012. Alma was a member of TOPS, and worked for the Social Security Administration in St Petersburg, as well as AARP. Alma had a pleasant personality, making lots of friends of all ages during her 97 years. She cherished all of her pets, most recently her beloved dog Toby. Alma was predeceased by 2 brothers, Julius and Earl; and 3 sisters, Annie, Phyllis and Alice. She is survived by 3 daughters, Geri Day, Linda Payne, and Joan (Craig) Tippey; sister, Norma Plescia; her 9 grandchildren, Debbie, Sandy, Cindy, Greg, William, Richard, Morgan, Kimberley & Heather; 22 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held on Jan. 24 at 1 pm at First United Methodist Church, 2728 53rd Street South, Gulfport, FL 33707. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
