  Dwight and Mary are buried at Oaklawn East Cemetery, Plant City, Hillsborough County, Florida. PLANT CITY COURIER-TUESDAY, OCTOBER 2,1934-PIONEER DIES ON SATURDAY: Sudden Heart Attack Saturday Evening Is Fatal to Dwight L. Crum: Death last Saturday evening claimed Dwight L. Crum, prominent cattleman and life-long resident of Plant City at his home on South Collins Street. Mr. Crum passed away suddenly from a heart attack about 7 o'clock Saturday night. Word of the death of this fine citizen spread quickly thoughout the city and many old friends and neighbors immediately gathered at the grief-stricken home. Mr. Crum, who was 57 years of age, was well known thoughout the county and the state following the vocation of his father, one of the pioneer settlers of this section, Mr. Crum had been in the cattle business all of his life, and at the time of his death, was one of the leading cattleman of the county. He had not been well for some months, but of late his health had apparently been some better. His sudden death was a shock to his many friends throughout this city and section. Mr. Crum is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary E. Crum, three sons and two daughters Maurice, Kenneth and Dwight L. Jr., Mrs. Olin Wade and Mrs. Burton Walker all of this city, one sister, Mrs. John Tinney of Tampa and two brothers Dave R. Crum of Plant City and W.H.J. Crum of the Lake Thonotosassa section, also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Crum were conducted from the home yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Ther services were conducted by the Rev. Paul A. Fletcher, Pastor of The Frist Methodist Church and interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of The Wells and Sons Company. Active pallbearers at the service were: H.D. Wordehoff, W.B. Sparkman, E.D. Covington, T.E. Moody, A.R. Boring, J.A. Pearce, George Dudley, and J.B. Mixon. Honorary pallbearers were: J.D. Hendry, W.L. Hendry, James Swannn, and R.E.L. Chancy of Tampa, J.A. Boyette, Tom Brown, W.T. Watkins, J.G. Sparkman, P.H. Varn, P.A. Merrin, W.F. Merrin, T.J. Knight, Dr. E. Austin, Dave Smith, S.E. Moody, E.T. Roux, M.E. Moody, F.H. Schulte, M.C. Moore, W.C. Wells, J.E. Knight, Chris McDonald, J.R. McDonald, Wayne Thomas, W.B.Dormany, Sr., Jerry Bates and Smith Brothers. End.

  Notes for DWIGHT LAFAYETTE CRUM: According to the 1920 census, Dwight Crum and his family lived on Hopewell Road near Plant City in Hillsborough County. Their home was mortgaged at the time of the census. He was listed as a manager of a general farm.
