Note:   (Research):Jeff McConn, passed away yesterday, 2/22/05. He had been ill for some time and had started radiation for a tumor behind his eye on Monday, 2/21. Some of you will remember him - he worked for Badcock in Mulberry from about 1949, after he was discharged from the Navy, and eventually owned a Badcock store in Ft. Myers until his retirement about 10 or 11 years ago. He lived in Lakeland at The Collonades on Pipkin road. Cause of death was, I believe, congestive heart failure. I don't know any of the funeral arrangements at this point. I feel fortunate that I was in Lakeland on Sunday, 2/20, and was able to spend a couple of hours with him. He was 76.
