Note: (Research):It is known that George and Margaret (Brown) McMillan had 10 children to include sons named Charles, James and Richard. The family information contained in this ged file for these sons has not been proven, although it appears correct for several reasons. A Charles, James and Richard McMillan appear on the 1881 Canadian census for Bloomfield, Prince Edward Island. Charles and James are married and have families and were living next to each other. Richard is living in the home of Charles. This suggests that they are brothers. From the 1881 census, these three gentleman have nearly identical dates of birth compared with the known dates of birth for George and Margaret McMillan's children. Charles (b. 1842 vs. 1843), Richard (b. 1855 vs. 1854) and James (b. 1845 vs. 1846). Once more, both Charles and James have children named George and Margaret suggesting that they are in fact George and Margaret's children. On the 1891 Canadian Census for Prince Co., Lot 5, again we have Charles' family, but his mother is now living there. Margaret is enumerated as Charles' mother, she is a widow, of Scotland, and she is 80 years old. The 1891 and 1901 census report shows that Charles is from Ontario.
