  Kirby Thompson, 70, died Monday evening at Lee Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Basinger, FL and lifelong resident of LaBelle. He was a rancher and associated with the L. J. Ranch in LaBelle. He was a charter member of the First Baptist Church in LaBelle, the Hendry County Farm Bureau Florida Cattlemen's Association.
  Survivors include his wife, Thelma Thompson of LaBelle; two daughters, Jo Tucker and Martha Humphries, both of LaBelle; a brother, Douglas Thompson of Frostproof, FL one uncle, A. C. Wright of Arcadia, FL and four grandchildren.
  Funeral service will be at the First Baptist Church of LaBelle with the Rev. Eugene Abernathy officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Denaud Cemetery. Pattison Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. (Fort Myers News-Press, Wed., 3/19/75)
