  In 1920 John was living with his parents on Nebraska Avenue according to the 1920 census.
  The Social Security Death Index states that John died in April 1983 in Delaware.

Note:   (Research):Tinny-Murrell Wedding; A wedding of especial interest to many Tampa people was performed by Rev.F.E. Steinmeyer, at the Tampa Heights Methodist parsonage Sunday, when Miss Marguerite Murrell and Mr. John C. Tinny were united in marriage. The impressive ring ceremony was used, and only the immediate families of the young couple attended. Mrs. Tinny is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Murrell, and a graduate of Hillsborough High school. Mr. Tinny is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Tinny, who have long been well-known residents of this city. Mr. Tinny is connected with the Alimite Lubricator company, and both he and his bride are popular with a large circle of Friends. After a motor trip to points of interest in Florida, the couple will be at home to their friends at the residence of Mr. Tinny's parents, Nebraska and Slight avenues. End. Miss Libbie Lucille Tinny: Miss Libbie Lucille Tinny, of 6809 Nebraska avenue, a resident of Tampa 36 years, died yesterday morning at a Tampa hospital. She is survived by her father, John Tinny; a brother J.C. Tinny, and three sisters, Mrs. A.E. Brooks, Mrs. George B. Shaw and Mrs. E.O. Burton, all of Tampa
