Oregonian, The (Portland, OR) - January 30, 2005 Deceased Name: Carl Herman Knecht A graveside service will be at 1:15 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005, in Lincoln Memorial Park for Carl Herman Knecht, who died Jan. 27 at age 89.
Mr. Knecht was born May 10, 1915, in South Weymouth, Mass. He was a construction worker on various dam and road projects in Oklahoma and California and moved to Happy Valley in 1954. He later lived in Gresham. He was the track superintendent for the Multnomah Kennel Club, where he worked for 16 years. In 1937, he married Helen G. Schwab.
Survivors include his wife; and daughter, Patricia.
