a. Note:   ra as an infant. Perhaps she was born in Austin County. Her son Marion's marriage license in Madison Co., Nebraska, stated that she was born in Travis Co., Texas. I believe, however, that this was in error, as some members of the family thought she was born in Austin, TX, when she was really born in Austin County, Texas.
  1878 Denton Co., Texas, guardianship file for J T Beall et al, minors, filed in March 1876 term, judgment made July 1878. It is not clear from whom Laura and her siblings were inheriting Tarrant Co. land, either from Barns or Cannon legacies.
