Note: According to Joseph Seiler, in notes dates January 22, 1966: 'Clifford was the youngest son in the family, and was tongue-tied all his life. He did little painting or anything else of consequence. The smallest of the Seiler brothrs, he was left-handed, and became an itinerant farm-hand in the local area. Fairly moderate in intelligence and habits, he seemed unable to find a direction in life. Clifford never married, and outlived his three brothers.'
