Note: I have little knowledge or recollection of William Surenok, Jr., since he and his family moved away from Cincinnati in about 1956 and spent the rest of their lives living in La Mesa, California. Research on the LDS website in 1999 shows that he was born 3/5/1916 in Gary, Indiana, the son of William Surenok and Mary Gendina (film #1760854).
This is in direct contradiction of family stories that place his birth in Russia, and have the family emigrating from that place in about 1917. Obviously they were in the USA prior to that time
