Note: George C. Guetermann (August 3, 1901-July 17, 1963) was one of three children of Frank G. Guetermann and Dora Van Duzen Buehler who lived to maturity. According to notes by Joseph Seiler, dated January 22, 1966: 'George, called 'Seppy', was a gregarious person. He was an expansive type of man with moderate tastes and actions. He seemed anxious to make a good impression. Proud of small things or accomplishments, he was a likeable person with few criticisms to offer anyone. At about 5'9", he was not so dark-complected as his brother... ...George was athletically inclined in his younger days...he was well-known as a baseball catcher and later in life as a professional boxer. The latter was done primarily to earn additional funds for his family, for although he was a machinist and worked every hour permitted, he was never well-off financially.' His burial certificate lists his occupation as 'tool and die maker'. His age at the time of death was 61 years, 11 months, and 11 days. His last address was 8001 Hamilton Avenue, Cincinnati. He was buried July 20, 1963 by the Neidhardt Funeral Home of Mt. Healthy, in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lot A201, Section 33. His wife, Goldie Hicks Guetermann, provided the vital information on the death certificate.
