  When about two years old Charles' parents moved to near Millville, Indiana. In the course of two years, his Mother passed away. Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Cory then took Charles and cared for him to manhood. He had been a life long member of the Church, joining when the church was located a half mile south of Mooreland, Indiana.
