Note: , 1840 when she was one month old. She was confirmed into the Lutheran church on May 10, 1854 when she was 14. She married Phillip Saam on April 7, 1864 when she was 24. She died at age 78 after being ill for only 5 days. She had 14 grandchildren. her obituary notes that she had 5 children, but her daughters are identified only by their married name. She also had two stepchildren, Louis Saam and Mrs. Henry Stausmyer of Gibsonburg, Ohio.
