Note: Samuel Bolton was born in 1816, and was married to Sophia Nunn, daughter of Joshua Niunn. He took an active part in the outbreak of 1837 against the government. He escaped tp the United States in 1838, and resided in the State of Indiana, following the trade of carpenter there, until 1846, when he returned to Canada and settled in Bolton, where he still resides and carries on the business of undertaking and house carpenter in partnership with his youngest son, James H, Bolton. He belongs to the Congregational Church.
