Note: Philip and Elizabeth were in Sorel, Quebec for the winter of 1783 with their five oldest children, among them their second son Owen P. Young children were not named, but, in Haldimand's Papers, as referred toi by Wanamaker {C.L.R. Wanamaker, a genealogist of Prince Edward County, Ont., and a descendant of the Roblin family} Philip's household at Sorel is described as consisting of "his wife and one son over age ten, two sons over six years and two daughters under six years of age". The Roblins were among the families who came to Canada in the Major Van Alstine party; and landed at Adolphustown on June 16th, 1784 In the records of the first town meetings there appear the names of John Roblin, Owen Roblin Sr. and Owen Roblin Jr. Dr. Canniff also states that Stephen Roblin also came with his brother John.
