Notes
a. Note:   Eliga was a methodist preacher. He migrated to Fulton Co. Arkansas from Paducah KY between 1876 and 1878. Lydia his daughter said the Wrather's (Father James Asbury and family) came to Arkansas in a covered wagon. It took them 20 days to get to Arkansas. Once in AR she said Eliga traded a 2 yr old mule for 40 acres of land. He set up his homestead on this land and raised both families on it. Eliga was also known as "BUD". His homestead grew to 140 acres before his death.
Treva "Moore" Hartin knew Eliga and his second wife and family. She lives around Hebron in Fulton Co. today(1998). She said she remember all his daughters and that they all had parasols to use when they would walk to school or other places. She said all the girls thought that was special since they were very rare in the area at that time.
Ada Williams (90 yrs old) in Hebron area said she remember uncle Bud preaching and said he always had a quote he said while preaching "Just in a little while, we'll all go home" . She said that was his saying.
