Obituary: Syracuse Herald, Monday, September 23, 1901: Otisco Valley "Charles Gambell, a carpenter living near Navarino, aged 66 years, fell from his chair dead yesterday morning. He went to bed Saturday night in his usual health. On arising in the morning he complained of a severe headache. Dr. Charles Baker of Marietta was called and said death was caused by a blood clot on the brain. The deceased leaves a widow and two sons, Wright Gambell of Syracuse and James Gambell of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The funeral will be held at 10:30 A.M. at the house."
