Note: Notes from Margaret Hugeback, 20 Jan 99: Anton and Anna were married at Holy angels church in Roselle, Iowa, by the Rev. Fry on January 9, 1889. They are buried in the Holy Angels cemetery in Roselle. Notes from Sue Marz, Jan 04: I am the great-granddaughter of Anton & Anna Leuhrs Hugeback and the great, great, granddaughter of Arnold & Anna Marie Leikem Franzwa Hugeback. Grandma Anna Leuhrs Hugeback lived with my grandparents Peter & Mayme in Arcadia when I was a child. We lived next door to my grandparents so I spent a considerable amount of time with her. She died when I was ten in 1956. I do have her photo album which contains approximately 40 old photos. None of the people in the photos are identified but most were taken by photographers in Chickasaw county in Iowa. There are a few taken in Mondovi, WI, Minneapolis, MN, Spring Green, WI. and one from San Francisco CA. I also have large photos of the two farms which Grandpa Anton owned near Roselle, Iowa. The pictures are oval and hand painted. In one of the pictures, Anton, Anna and their five youngest children (Joe, Louie, Carrie, Matt and Andrew) are shown standing in front of their home. Anton died August 16, 1933 at Roselle, Iowa & Anna died January 18,1956 and is also buried at Roselle Iowa. I do have the original family picture that was taken for the Roselle centennial book.
