a. Note:   He was reared in Lamar Township, near Rote, being the son of Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Baney, both deceased. When quite a young man he became a fire brick pressman and located in Woodland, Clearfield county, where he married and lived until fire brick plants started up near Mill Hall, when he moved his family here and worked at the Mill Hall and Lock Haven fire brick plants until disease caused him to cease work. He was a good workman and industrious. He was a member of the P.O.S. of A. and K.G.E. of Woodland.
