Note: ng The KC Star and Henry Wurst Inc. He was considered by many to be one of the best printers in town. He died in a cheap hotel at 8th and Central above the entrance to the Tallman Cafe in KCMo, near the site of the old Continental Color Press,where he worked through the 30's and 40's.His name at birth was LeRoy Bruce Tracy, he added the initial J early in life. The 1927 KCK city directory shows the J used at that time and he would be 17. He served in the Phillipines in WWII as a member of the Quartermaster Corp. He was a smart man and spent much of his time reading. He is listed in the SS index as Jay Tracy. He passed away on his birthday.
