Note: the 1900 Kansas census of the city of Olathe. He married Ann M Robinson 6/8/1871 and in the census listing had a daughter Louise born in Kansas 4/1891. Annie was born in Iowa. No further info on Harmon or family. The 1906 KCMo directory has a Harmon as a sec. working at Int. Smelting Co. at 502 Temple(?) He and Ann are buried in Olathe cem. There are no headstones but there is one for Lura who died 11/15/1887. Her stone hard to read. A Harmon E. is listed 1918-1919 KCMO dir as a clerk working at KC Everything Store
at 3829 Central. He would have been abt 73 if this is the same Harmon. The 1922 city directory of KCMO lists his address as 3315 Pennsylvania Ave. Lura Tracy died 11/17/1887. I do not know her relationship to Harmon but was probably his daughter. Lura is listed in Johnson Co Cem listings, her birthdate is listed will obtain later.
Harmon is buried in block 163 in the Olathe Cem. as are Ann and Lura.
August 2002: Kansas state census for 1885 City of Olathe lists H.E.Tracy age 39 as a loan agent (NY birth and came here from Illinois).His wife Anna age 32 (birth Iowa and came here from Illinois). Kansas state census 1895 City of Olathe shows H.E.Tracy age 49 a lawyer
b NY and came here from Ill. His wife Anna M.age 32 b Iowa came here from Ill.A daughter Louise age 4 b KS is listed.
1885 state census of Olathe: H.E. is 35 and Anna R is 32. 1895 State census Olathe HE 39 and Anna m 32 Louise b is 4.
1900 Olathe City census lists Harmon,Anna and Louise(age 9)on Santa Fe street
1905 State census Olathe: HE age 58 A.M. 48 L (Louise) age 14 1910 Olathe City census shows Harmon age 64 a bookkeeper and Anna 54 living on Park St Ward 3. Anna born Iowa and parents b Ohio (the Robinsons)
Harmon was probably named after his mothers brother Harmon Starr. His obit in the Olathe newspaper says he was living in Kansas City Mo at the time of his death and was survived by his wife Anna M and daughter Louise of the home. He was a bookkeeper for J.H.Cosgrove.In charge of services were D.W.Newcomers and burial in Olathe cem.
1880 Johnson Co Olathe City census lists Harmon age 34 and Ann age 26 living next door to the Robinsons. Harmon is listed as a teacher.
Oct 17 2003: Ordered headstone for Harmon and Anna
Dec 17 2003: Headstone received by cemetery. Sent them a check. Caretaker said he will set it in the spring.
April 8 2004: Jack Gregory called me to say he has set the headstone.
April 10 2004: Saw headstone and took photo. Looks nice. Jack also reset Lura's headstone and combined the two stones on one new slab of concrete.
April 21 2004: Info fron Kansas Members of Fraternal Orders IOOF # 59 Olathe KS shows Harmons death date as Oct 25 1925
Copy of death cert: Died of cerebral hemorage Oct 7 1925 living at 3315 Penn KCMO inf: Anna M Tracy He lived 80 yrs 1 mo 13 days
