Edmond, born in Amherst County, Virginia about 1763 to John Rousey and Mary Foster, served in the Amherst County Militia as a youth, first under Capt. William Tucker and Col. Dabney, then under Capt. John Loving and Gen. Morgan. Elizabeth and Edmond Rousey moved from Georgia to Fayette County, Alabama, where Edmond died 13 April 1838. Elizabeth then moved on to Mississippi and died there about 1850, possibly in Yalobusha County. Elizabeth and Edmond had no known children. _P_CCINFO 1-887
