Note:   Tombstone inscription: Relict of Capt Wm Packwood, in the 69th year of her age ---- Most genealogies state that Abigail was a daughter of Jonathan Powers and Elizabeth Kidder and give her date of birth as 9 Aug 1736. However, New London records suggest that Abigail might belong to a different Powers family. The records show two quit claim deeds from Ichabod & Samuel Powers to William Packwood. In addition, one Packwood granddaughter was named Elizabeth Hern Packwood, possibly after Elizabeth (Powers) Hern, dau of Ichabod Powers and wife of Samuel Hern.
