AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mr. Bert Norris, beloved husband of 55 years to Catherine H. Norris, entered into rest on Sunday, January 18, 2004. Born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to Bert Norris and Dorothy Morgan Norris. Mr. Norris was founder and owner of Security Fence Company and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and Green Meadows Golf Club. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at 8 p.m. from Elliott Sons Funeral Home, Lumpkin Road Chapel with Reverend Dr. Gordon Robinson officiating. Survivors include his sons, Ronald B. Norris and wife, Arlene Norris, Amelia Island, Fla., Donald E. Norris and wife, Brenda Norris, Athens, Ga., W. Alan Norris and wife, Arlene Norris, Martinez, Ga., Joseph S. Norris and wife, Christy Norris, Grovetown, Ga. and his daughter, Saundra Marquis and her husband, Curtis Marquis, Glen Rose, Texas; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
