Note: Ann Eliza kept a bible in which she recorded important family dates. Their marriage certificate shows that they were married by Rev. J.R. Thompson at Chester, Ohio - Willis was "of Chardon". The children, and their birth weights, were listed on the reverse side of their marriage license/certificate. Marriages of the children are also on the reverse side - in the handwriting of Vesta. Willis and Ann Eliza were later divorced. Willis apparently died from an infection brought on by a wood chopping accident in which he had cut his leg.
