Note: With his partner, Ebenezer Punderson, Jr., formed the well-known drug store known as "Handerson & Punderson" in Cleveland, OH. IN 1851 he withdrew from the active business and moved to Beersheba Springs, Grundy Co., Tennessee where he resided until the close of the Civil War. Thence he returned to Cleveland. Lewis and Prudence, in 1839 upon the death of his brother, Thomas, adopted Thomas's two children, Harriet Frances and Henry Ebenezer.
