Notes
a. Note:   Abraham came from South Carolina with his two sons (and possibly his daughter) to Coweta County, Georgia in 1828. Lacking any records to the contrary, it is assumed that Abraham's wife died and was buried in South Carolina before they came to Georgia. He apparently lived with his sons until his death in 1856.
He, both sons and daughter Nancy are buried in the Christian Church Cemetery, Digbey, GA. Digbey is located on state route 16 between Senoia and Griffin at a location know as "county line". As a matter interest with regard to this Gray family burial site, there is an unmarked grave, outlined only with rocks and stone, next to Abraham's. Several members of the Gray and Hutchinson families believe this grave is that of Abraham's father, Jerry or Jeremiah, that he fought in the Revolutionary War and after being captured by the Tories, had his ears cut off. This has been a matter of some attention by several of Hosea Gray's descendents, but without documented confirmation.
