Notes
a. Note:   Latimer was the only son in this family to marry. In 1924 there was no high school in Haralson. Mary Blanton and Sadie Jacque Hutchinson came to Senoia (6 miles) and lived with the Homer Hutchinson family in order to attend high school. Homer was Sadie's older brother by a matter of some 17 years and she never called him "Homer" - always "Brother Homer". I was 7 years of age at the time and in the 2nd grade - all grades being in the same building. Chapel services were held in the school auditorium for all 11 grades every morning and the senior classs sat on the stage facing the rest of the student body. I vividly recall the service on morning being interrupted by a loud voice in the rear saying, "Sadie - come here!" It was my father. My Aunt Sadie burst into tears, left her seat on the stage, met my father in the hall and away they went in a big stir. During lunch at home that day, I learned that Mary Blanton (who roomed with Sadie across the upstairs hall from my brother and me) had ELOPED that morning with Hosea Gray and my father was "holding" Sadie responsible for not squawking on her. But it all turned out well - Hosea and Mary reared a fine family of 3 sons. After Hosea's death in 1970, Mary married my uncle, Colonel Grady Hutchinson.
