Notes
a. Note:   A letter from Mona Ray gives the following details concerning Roy's accident:
"Roy's death was a great shock and one that took me a while to getover. We had been in Wichita, Kansas, three months - having been transferred there from Fairbanks, Alaska. We were looking forward to being closeto Mom and Dad Seley so they could enjoy their grandchildren.
I was seven months pregnant with Karen. Roy, Mike and I were in the bedroom and Roy was cleaning his shotgun. The other children wereoutside playing with several other kids. Roy had just finished cleaning thegun and was reloading it when I remembered that I needed to get Gene'spants ironed for vacation bible school practice.
I had just walked out of the rooom and turned the iron on and I heardthe gun go off. I ran back there and Roy was lying across the bed withblood gushing out of his chest. Mike, who was 20 months old said, "The gunwent boom".
He was instantly dead. No one knows for sure just what happened. Itwas ruled an accident.
After that I moved back home to Texas."
